Invitations

Dear WAKO Friends,

At the end of 2021 and at the beginning of 2022 the pandemic seemed to be losing its strength and we could finally do a full competition season again.

Unfortunately, things did not turn out that way, new complications arose and it looked like this year was going to be incomplete as well. After all, in the first half of the year, almost all major competitions were cancelled by the organizers. In the absence of competitions, our athletes will not be able to properly prepare for the major tournaments scheduled for the second half of the year, the Cadet World Championships and the Senior European Championships. It is also a concern that many of them will lose their enthusiasm, and their motivation will decrease.

As the organizers of the Hungarian Kickboxing World Cup in Budapest, we have also considered cancelling our beloved competition in this situation, but we have to say a definite NO to this option. A warrior fights in any situations and we wish to fight to welcome the WAKO elite back to Budapest.

So yes, we will organise the 27th Hungarian Kickboxing World Cup in Budapest! I hope that with our event we can help all visiting competitiors to prepare and once again experience the wonderful feeling of 2.000-2.200 competitors competing together.

If you believe in the cohesive power of our sport and are eager to see and experience many excellent fights, then come as many of you as possible to Budapest in early June, we will provide the usual standard of organization.

We look forward to seeing you all in Budapest!

Yours sincerely,

Mr. Peter Galambos
